MAMOU - Funeral services and Rosary will be held at 2:00 PM at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou on Saturday, July 28, 2018, for Cleveland Fontenot, 81, who passed away on Friday, July 27, 2018 in Mamou, LA.

Deacon Chuck Ortego will conduct the funeral services.

Burial will take place in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery in Mamou, LA.

Cleveland Fontenot was born in Mamou, LA on October 22, 1936 to Stephen Fontenot and Adeide Granger Fontenot.

He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Fontenot and companion, Barry Lafleur of Grand Prairie; two step-daughters, Barbara Guillory and Peggy Lee Davis; two brothers, Elvin "Vin" Fontenot and Kelly Louise "Yo" Fontenot; sister, Dorothy Deshotel and husband Huey Deshotel of Houston, Tx; three grandchildren; Sarah Fusilier and husband Korey of Fort Worth, Tx, Marcus Landreneau and wife, Ashley of Bayou Chicot, and Abby Landreneau of Scott; 9 step-grandchildren and six great grandchildren, Kreede, Lydia, Harper, Reid, Addyson and Preston.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Bertha Johnson Fontenot; one brother, Burk Lee Fontenot; one sister, Gladys Fontenot Young; his step daughter, Sandra Marcantel and two great grandchildren, Tait Charles and Jon-Adam.

The family requests that visitation be observed at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou on Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
