Pitchy was a lifelong resident of Ville Platte. She worked for many years in the office at Sacred Heart Elementary, and later at Citizens Bank for nearly 30 years. Pitchy was a devout catholic and active parishioner at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church; where she organized Perpetual Adoration for 25 years.
