MAMOU – It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Diana Lynn Vasseur, 65, announces her passing on August 2, 2012. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 4, 2012 at 4:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Mamou. Burial will follow in the New St. Ann’s Cemetery with Pastor Ervin Goodman officiating
A loving mother, sister, and grandmother, Diana will be lovingly remembered by her son Wade Wilson and fiancé Melissa of Oakdale, her daughter Dionne Ashford and husband Joey of Mamou, her two step-sons Malcolm and wife Cassandra Vasseur of Rockwall, Texas and Roger Vasseur of Houston, Texas, her brother Edward G. Daniels, Jr. of Dry Prong, her sister Elsie Marie Smith of Deville, 10 grandchildren Lucas Granger, Alexander Wilson, Don Wilson, Jr., Emily Ashford, Alyssa Ashford, Ashton Ashford, Madden Wilson, Abbie Halvorson, Emalee Halvorson, and Josie Halvorson, Ashley Wilson , and Courtney Ashford and wife Sharalyn; and two great grandchildren Emma Claire Ashford and Alaya Ashford.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband Roger Lee Vasseur and her parents Albert Kniep and Willie Mae Craig.
At the request of the family visitation will take place at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou on Friday, August 3, 2012 from 12:00 PM until 10:00 PM and again on Saturday, August 4, 2012 from 8:00 AM until time of service.
