Kenneth "Keno" Smith
April 26, 1962 - August 7, 2012
EUNICE~It is with great sadness and the heaviest of hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Kenneth “Keno” Smith at the Lafayette General Hospital at the age of 50. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Friday, August 10, 2012 at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery with Deacon David Guillory officiating.
Kenneth known as “Keno” to all who knew him was employed with the Walmart Distribution Center-DC 1648 and also for Dominques Record Management. He loved to fish but most of all he loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. A beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather he will be missed greatly by his wife, Sheila Fontenot Smith and their son, Anthony “Tony” Smith and wife, Christin all of Eunice; his mother, Lorita Smith of Eunice; two brothers, Edward Smith and wife, Bebe of Houston, Dwayne Smith and wife, Vickie of Eunice; one sister, Linda Smith of Eunice; and the joys of his life, his two grandchildren, Ethan and Madelyn Smith. Also mourning his loss are nieces, nephews and friends.
He now rests in Heaven with his beloved father, Wallace Smith; his in-laws, Calvin and Marie Fontenot.
At the request of the family visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, August 9th from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm and again on Friday, August 10th from 8:00 am until time of services. Deacon David Guillory will recite a Rosary at 7:00 pm Thursday evening.
