BASILE~It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Robert Wayne McGee, announces his passing on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at his residence. He was 42. A Celebration of Life will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Basile at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 31, 2010. Rite of Committal will follow in the Langley Cemetery with Father Brian Taylor officiating.

Robert was a resident of Basile and an oil gauger for Riceland Petroleum and Dynamic Exploration. He leaves behind a loving and grateful family including his beloved wife, Denise Andrepont McGee of Basile; his father, Sidney McGee of Basile; his mother, Betty Doucet of Crowley; his son, Hunter McGee of Basile; his daughter, Danielle McGee of Eunice; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Robert will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Now he rests in Heaven with his beloved paternal grandparents, Mayeaus and Elsie McGee; his sister, Vicky Duhon; and his brother, Terry McGee.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Basile on Friday, July 30th from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm and again on Saturday, July 31st from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Friday evening.
