EUNICE~A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Gertrude S. Jones will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Gertrude passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Acadian Medical Center in Eunice. A Celebration of Life will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home Chapel in Eunice at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 29, 2010 with Brother Ken Chapman officiating.

Gertrude will be remembered as one who enjoyed being with her family and friends. She leaves behind a loving and grateful family including her loving husband, Clyde “Buddy” Jones of Eunice; her son, Clyde Paul Jones of Scott; her three daughters, Dianne Jones Albrecht and husband, Jeff of Baton Rouge, Karen Jones Doucet of Opelousas, and Amanda Jones Ballay and husband, Brian of Belle Chasse; and the joys of her life her five grandchildren, Jeffrey Spencer Albrecht, Sophie Christian Doucet, Christopher Connor Doucet, Aidan Matthew Doucet and Olivia Claire Ballay.

Now she rests in Heaven with her beloved parents, Charles and Nell Trewhitt Schulze and her two sisters, Mary Jane Schulze and Eleanor Nell S. Cannella.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice on Thursday, July 29, 2010 from 9:00 am until time of services.
