BASILE~It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Silton R. Aucoin announces his passing on February 06, 2010 at Basile Care Center in Basile at the age of 75. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Basile on Monday, February 08, 2010 at 1:00 pm. Entombment will follow in the St. Augustine Mausoleum with Father Brian Taylor Celebrant.

He leaves behind a loving and grateful family including his son, David Michael Aucoin of Basile; two daughters, Celize “Liz” R. Johnson and husband, Kenneth and Glynis “Kay” R. Christ and husband, Darwin, all of Basile; three brothers, Rayford Aucoin and wife, Norma of Eunice, Jeffery Aucoin and wife, Jessie of Jeanerette, and Robert Aucoin and wife, Carolyn of Basile; one sister, Burnella Fruge of Lake Charles; seven grandchildren, Steven P. Johnson, Brian K. Johnson, Charles D. Christ, Amanda C. Boulet, Dennis Blake Christ, Michael R. Gaspard, and Brandon Gaspard; nine great grandchildren, Asa Johnson, Wade Johnson, Gracie Mae Christ, Carlie Kay Christ, Elle Marie Christ, Courtney Boulet, Jeffery Boulet, Alexis Boulet, and Cami Boulet; numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and great nephews; and extended family and friends. He will be truly missed.

Now he rests in Heaven with his beloved wife, Haidee Mae Doga Aucoin; parents, Mitchell and Bonnie Courville Aucoin; nephew, Robbie Aucoin; and brother in law, Atlas Fruge.

At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Basile on Sunday, February 07, 2010 from 9:00 am until time of Services on Monday, February 08, 2010. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm Sunday evening.
