MAMOU~A wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, Grace will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Grace died peacefully on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the Evangeline Extended Care. She was 83. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 29, 2010 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Mamou. Burial will follow in the New St. Ann Cemetery with Father Sibley Celebrant.
She leaves behind a loving and grateful family, including her loving sons, Jimmy Augustine of Florida and Peter Augustine of Lake Charles; a loving daughter, Cecelia “C.C.” Augustine of Mamou; one brother, Henry “H.P.” Fontenot of Eunice; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Now she rests in heaven with her beloved husband, Fernest “Do” Augustine.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Mamou on Thursday, January 28, 2010 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm and again on Friday, January 29, 2010 from 8:00 am until time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm Thursday evening.
