EUNICE~It is with the heaviest hearts that the family of Kenneth "Ken" Wayne Cooper announces his passing on Monday, April 17, 2017 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family at the age of 68. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 21, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Eunice with Pastor Tim Moffett officiating.
Kenneth known to many as "Ken" was a 1966 graduate of Eunice High School. He is a retired District Manager at Texas Gas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, a member of the choir and was involved in various church committees. There are no words to describe Ken. He was a man of great honor, good natured and enjoyed the outdoors, boating and road trips but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
He will be sadly missed but never forgotten by his loving wife of forty nine years, Lewana Wagner Cooper of Eunice; his wonderful mother, Annie Mae Cooper of Eunice; he cherished his three grandsons who lovingly called him “Papa”, Seth Allen, Zachary Kenneth and Tanner Broc Cooper, all of Ragley; his brother, Keith Cooper and wife, Patricia of Idaho; sisters, Nikki C. Fruge and husband, Archie of Moss Bluff and Yvonne C. Babineaux of Boerne, TX; his sister-in-law, Carla Wagner Soileau and husband, Greg of Eunice; daughter-in-law, Jenifer Cooper Schysm of Ragley; as well as extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his son, David Chad Cooper; father, Chester Cooper; and his in laws, Herman and Aline Wagner.
At the request of the family, visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Eunice from 9:00 am until time of services.
I am saddened by the news my cousin Ken's passing, my childhood is full of memories of him during our visits to Eunice. I have read many wonderful tributes about him & I know that his family will miss him, but with the faith of seeing him again one day. My thoughts and prayers are with Lewana, Aunt Mae, Keith, Nikki, Yvonne, his grandchildren, extended family and friends. May God wrap each of you in His loving arms, giving you peace and comfort as only He can. Our family loves your family and although we can't physically be with you, we are there in spirit.

So sorry to hear about Ken's passing. I worked with Ken beginning in the early 80s when he was a District Foreman at Eunice. I always had much respect for Ken and valued his friendship greatly. I know no words I can say will ease the pain of loss, but want you to know I will be praying for family and for God's comfort to shelter you always. R. Greer

So sorry to hear about Ken's passing. We worked together for many years at TG and more recently in Columbia and Pineville on some major construction projects. He always had a smile on his face and was so positive all the time. Please know that Gennie and I will be praying for peace and comfort during this difficult time.

We miss you already, Ken. You have been such an important part of our family for so many years...as hard as it will be to go on day after day without seeing your smile and hearing your wonderful laughter, we know that you are in a much better place...free of sickness and pain...in the presence of Jesus, the angels, and all your friends and loved ones who have gone on before you. We will see you again, when our time on this earth is done. Rest in peace, Ken. We love you.

Lewana and family - please accept my sincerest sympathy. Kenny was a fine man and so kind and considerate. He will be sorely missed, especially by his classmates. The reunion in October was such a pleasure and you both were wonderful hosts.
